Employers have been posing the topic of making some changes to working time in Dominica in an effort to assist the economy transition to a 24/7 economy.  The effort is really to keep the economy alive all day long, generate business opportunities for all, create employment and shopping oportunities, and broaden the base of the economy to generate more spending and tax opportunities. 

Thee DEF has takan the arduous task of revisiting all the pieces of labour and employment legislation needing improvement, then creating the text of required amendments and updating, and putting tgether a Parliamentary Bill which provides easy reading and manoeuvring for law-makers.  Here is the Bill.  We encourage you to read it, then tell us what you think.
